PARENTS OF DYNAMiC DANCERS ASSOCIATION (P.O.D.D.A.) is the parent support group of Dynamic Dance Studio Inc. Through P.O.D.D.A. we work bingo's and casino's to defray the cost of dancing and perhaps to let our dancers do more than would otherwise be possible. The monies from working bingo's and casino's may be used for such items as, workshops, props, exam fees, competition fees and sometimes travel. P.O.D.D.A. also provides support and help with volunteers for the director and teachers of Dynamic Dance Studio Inc. As a member you will be called upon to volunteer your time at various functions through out the year. P.O.D.D.A. also funds a scholarship for students which is presented at the year end show. The executive of P.O.D.D.A. consists of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Volunteer Co-ordinator. These positions are elected and there is one general meeting a year, usually in October.
MEMBERSHIP: The cost of membership is determined each year (usually $25.00 yearly) with single and family memberships available. Membership forms are available at the studio at the end of the current dance ear. If you are new to the studio, memberships will be available until September 30th. You must sign up for memberships in May of the previous dance year to be eligible to work bingo's in the first quarter of that year (September, October and November)
BINGO: At present we are doing Bingo's at Grey Eagle. Bingo's are allotted to us on a yearly basis and P.O.D.D.A. divides them up per quarter, assigning jobs and dates to work. If you are unable to work your bingo, you are responsible to make a trade with someone.
CASINO: P.O.D.D.A. also does casino's and the requirement to work a casino is you must have worked a determined amount of bingo's in the previous year. Casino dates are given to us by gaming and we have no choice to the dates we are assigned.
